The immunisations we are able to offer to your students are as follows:-
HPV For girls only (1st dose to be given before their 18th birthday to be eligible)
MEN ACWY For all year 12’s & 13’s.
DTP All year 12’s only
Students 16 and over can consent to immunisations themselves. However we encourage students to discuss their immunisation options in advance with their parents or guardians. Students will be able to check their records on the day to see if they require vaccines or boosters. However, they are also able to check with their GP in advance if they so wish.
Students and Staff over the age of 18 are welcome to attend the stand in the atrium to check their records for any immunisation requirements and the nurses will be happy to help or give advice.
Consent forms are available from student support if you wish to complete this in advance or on the day of the event (16 & over only)
Are you interested in improving services for families of children and young people with additional needs and /or disabilities in Suffolk? Do you have a bit of time you could spare?
The role of parent representatives (reps) is to inform decision makers about the experiences of parents and carers and to ensure that parents' views are fed into decisions about children and young people's services at a strategic level.
Come and meet the SPCN team and find out about the parent rep role. Each parent rep’s role is tailored to you and what you can offer so you don’t have to be able to give set amounts of time or be available on a weekly basis.
Training is provided and you also have the opportunity to attend regional or national conferences / workshops / training. Expenses and remuneration costs can be claimed for meetings you attend on behalf of SPCN.
Our first ever Parent Rep information day is being held on Monday 12th March 2017 at Kesgrave War Memorial Community Centre, Twelve Acre Approach, Kesgrave, Ipswich, IP5 1LF.
The day will run from 10am until 1.30pm and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
